Planning & Zoning Commission

Planning and Zoning Commission members are vital volunteers for the community. Members have the responsibilities to oversee and monitor planning and zoning matters including rezoning, conditional use permits, master plans, ordinance revisions, plats, variances, annexations, and street, alley and easements vacations and dedications. Qualifications to become a Planning and Zoning Commission Member: 

  • Age- Must be 18 years old
  • Residence- must reside in City Limits of Madisonville
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • After submitting a completed application and passing a background check, your application will be presented to city council for consideration for the position(s) you applied for. If no positions are currently vacant, your application will be held for 180 days in case of vacancies.
